Deputy Minister Nguyễn Sinh Nhật Tân: End-to-end logistics linkage for Vietnamese goods to reach further

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, strengthening end-to-end logistics linkages will expand the development space, enabling Vietnamese goods to reach further.

Logistics is no longer just about warehousing or simple transportation; it has become a measure of an economy's competitiveness. In the context of Vietnam's increasing deep integration into the global supply chain, the challenge is not only to move goods faster but also to build a logistics system that is strong, deep, and broad enough for Vietnamese goods to reach far and sustainably.

Speaking at the event where Federal Express Group (FedEx) and Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation announced their strategic cooperation in Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan emphasized that strengthening linkages to form an end-to-end supply chain is an urgent requirement to help Vietnamese goods expand their development space in the international market. According to the Deputy Minister, logistics is a key factor determining the competitiveness of goods, the efficiency of the supply chain, and the ability to connect domestic markets with global markets.

Building a logistics chain that is “deep domestically, wide internationally”

Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan stated that developing logistics in a modern, synchronized, and effective direction is crucial for reducing costs, improving service quality, and promoting goods circulation. This, in turn, contributes to enhancing the competitiveness and sustainable development of the economy.

To create a breakthrough for the logistics industry, the Prime Minister has issued a strategy for the development of Vietnam's logistics services for the period 2025 - 2035, with a vision to 2050. This strategy sets out specific goals for modernizing infrastructure, promoting digital transformation, and greening the logistics industry.

“This is a compass for us to build a highly competitive national logistics ecosystem that can adapt flexibly to fluctuations in the international market,” Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan emphasized.

According to the Deputy Minister, the Ministry of Industry and Trade aims to develop logistics services not only by focusing on major trade gateways but also by ensuring balanced development across industries and localities. The Ministry prioritizes supporting businesses nationwide, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, to easily access global logistics standards.

“Strengthening linkages to form an end-to-end supply chain helps Vietnamese goods reach further and build regional logistics centers to effectively connect domestic and international markets,” affirmed Deputy Minister Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan.

He believes this is an important direction to form a logistics system capable of supporting export activities, cross-border e-commerce, and the deeper participation of Vietnamese businesses in global value chains.
